Last season the matchup pitted a pair of eight-time reigning conference champs against one another and unfortunately for the Quinnipiac women s cross country team, the Iona Gaels prevailed with the 2013 MAAC title. This season, the Bobcats will be looking to exact a little revenge on their intraconference foes and get back to their winning ways established back in the Northeast Conference wherein Quinnipiac had won eight straight conference titles (2005-12). The Gaels, coming in as the nine-time defending MAAC Champion, provide some stiff competition but the Bobcats as well as the other nine league institutions have their sights set on the 2014 Championship.
