Yale Claims Second Place at Iona Meet of ChampionsPublished by
This Saturday, the Yale women s cross country team traveled to the Bronx in order to compete at the Iona Meet of Champions. The meet was a success, as the team placed second overall (86 pts.) in a field of 20 competitors. Brown (38 pts.) was the only team to come out ahead of the Bulldogs. Princeton—an Ivy League opponent, as well as Albany and Iona—competitors in the Northeast region, were all among those who fell to the Bulldogs. While a few Yale frontrunners took the weekend off to rest, the majority of the team took to the course at Van Cortlandt Park—the site of the Northeast Regional meet in November.
